We have been innovative in the way we incorporate into our Private Medical Insurance schemes a range of complementary covers and services, such as Life, Personal Accident, Critical Illness and Travel covers together with Legal and Medical helplines to name but a few.

For our high level corporate schemes we have introduced Dental and Optical cover, together with extra cover for Private GP services and Maternity. We also pioneered the idea of monthly payments, at no extra cost, which has proved to be a significant benefit to Clients - particularly large corporate Clients.

Once you have introduced your Clients to General & Medical we will deal with all relevant ongoing administration.

Client Service

At General & Medical we acknowledge our obligation to our Clients to offer them the highest standards of customer service. Consequently, we do not use call centres, nor do we have systems where Clients have to talk to separate departments for different enquiries. All Clients taking out cover with General & Medical are assigned to a named Client Relations Co-ordinator, or C.R.C. as we call them.

The Clients nominated C.R.C. will deal with all enquiries, from basic information to complex claims handling. The relationship that develops between our C.R.C. and your Client, enables us to offer the exceptional standard of service that we have become renowned for. This accounts for why we enjoy a high Client retention rate at renewal.

Personal Service

The attention to detail applied by our C.R.C.'s enables us to offer the same personal level of service whether our cover is bought by an individual, or by a large corporation.

Expertise

One of the most important functions our C.R.C.’s perform is to deal with our Clients medical claims. These claims can range from treatments for minor ailments to major complex surgery. In order that our C.R.C.’s have an understanding of what the Client is going through all our C.R.C.’s (even those who are already medically qualified), have to undergo and achieve a high standard in a range of medical training courses. They also receive thorough training on General & Medical products and services, to enable them to offer support at the time the Client needs it most.
